The game in Challans was also quite interesting. Fourth ranked Saint-Quentin (7-2) played at the court of 7th ranked Vendee Challans (5-4). Saint-Quentin managed to secure a 4-point victory 91-87 on Saturday. American guard BA Walker (184-84, college: VCU, agency: Inception Sports) stepped up and scored 24 points and 5 assists for the winners and Benoit Gillet (190-86) chipped in 17 points and 4 assists. The best for the losing side was point guard Paul Turpin (190-93) with 16 points, 9 rebounds and 9 assists and Lithuanian forward Vaidotas Pridotkas (200-84) scored 22 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line). Five Saint-Quentin and four Vendee Challans players scored in double figures. The victory was the third consecutive win for Saint-Quentin. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Chartres and Gries/Oberhoffen. Loser Vendee Challans dropped to the sixth position with four games lost. They share it with Lorient and RAC Basket. Saint-Quentin will meet league's second-placed Gries/Oberhoffen in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Vendee Challans will play against ALS Basket (#10) in Andrezieux and hope to secure a win.
