Regular Season Round 7: LF Future - Alvik Basket 86-99

We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams when 8th ranked LF Future (2-8) lost to ninth ranked Alvik Basket (2-5) in Lulea 86-99 on Sunday. Alvik Basket dominated down low during the game scoring 70 of its points in the paint compared to LF Future's 30. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Quite impressive performance for point guard Anton Miller (180-91, college: Claflin) who helped to win the game recording 19 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Forward Richard Hartmann (203-89) contributed with 22 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Four Alvik Basket players scored in double figures. Alvik Basket's coach Bernat Camprubi used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. American guard Brian Curry (185-86) answered with 32 points and 8 rebounds and guard Robel Gebremeskel (185-95) added 38 points (!!!) in the effort for LF Future. Alvik Basket moved-up to eighth place. LF Future lost their sixth game in a row. They dropped to the ninth position with eight games lost. Alvik Basket will have a break next round. LF Future will play on the road against the league's second-placed Djurgarden (#2) having rather not much hope for a victory.
