Regular Season Round 6: Maccabi T-A - Maccabi Ashdod 90-80

Winner League top team - Maccabi T-A (6-0) managed to deliver another win. This time they beat ninth ranked Maccabi Ashdod (2-4) in Tel-Aviv 90-80. The game was mostly controlled by Maccabi T-A. Maccabi Ashdod was better in second period 21-20. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Maccabi T-A players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. The former international Jake Cohen (208-90, college: Davidson) scored 19 points and 6 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Belarusian center Artsiom Parakhouski (212-87, college: Radford) chipped in 14 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. Five Maccabi T-A players scored in double figures. Maccabi T-A's coach Neven Spahija allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. The best for the losing side was American power forward David Laury (206-90, college: Iona) with 20 points and 8 rebounds and his fellow American import guard Cameron Long (192-88, college: George Mason, agency: Inception Sports) scored 16 points. Maccabi T-A have an impressive six-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 6-0 record. Maccabi Ashdod at the other side dropped to the eighth place with four games lost. They share the position with Bnei Hertzeliya and Ironi Nes-Ziona. Maccabi T-A will play against Ironi Nes-Ziona (#9) in Nes Ziyona in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Maccabi Ashdod will play at home against Hapoel Holon and hopes to get back on the winning track.
