VTB-Youth top team - Unics-2 (9-2) managed to deliver another win on Sunday. This time they beat tenth ranked Avtodor-2 (0-8) in Saratov 95-85. Unics-2 forced 20 Avtodor-2 turnovers and outrebounded them 42-29 including 20 on the offensive glass. Point guard Sergey Krivykh (182-98) scored 29 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals to lead the charge for the winners and center Semen Pinaev (208-99) chipped in 18 points and 15 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) during the contest. The best for the losing side was Nikita Mikhailovskiy with 22 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists and guard Sergei Rozhkov (188-99) scored 12 points, 5 assists and 6 steals. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Unics-2 have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 9-2 record. Loser Avtodor-2 still closes the standings with eight games lost. Unics-2 will face Samara-2 (#4) on the road in the next round. Avtodor-2 will play against N.Novgorod-2 (#9) and looks forward to get finally their first victory.
