Regular Season Round 9: Antibes - Pau-Lacq-Orthez 86-85

A very interesting game took place in Antibes. It ended with only one-point defeat on the road of higher ranked Pau-Lacq-Orthez (5-4) to fourteenth ranked Olympique Antibes (4-5) 86-85 on Monday evening. Pau-Lacq-Orthez was ahead by 9 points at the halftime before a 29-16 third quarter run of Olympique Antibes. American Tim Blue (205-84, college: Middle Tenn.St.) nailed 22 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists for the winning side and his fellow American import point guard Jerel Blassingame (175-81, college: UNLV) accounted for 11 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists. Four Olympique Antibes players scored in double figures. The former international center Alain Koffi (207-83, agency: BeoBasket) came up with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 12 rebounds and American point guard Kyan Anderson (180-92, college: TCU, agency: Pensack Sports) added 24 points and 4 assists respectively for Pau-Lacq-Orthez in the defeat. Olympique Antibes moved-up to twelfth place, which they share with Gravelines and Chalons-Reims. Pau-Lacq-Orthez at the other side keeps the fifth position with four games lost. Olympique Antibes' next round opponent will be higher ranked Limoges CSP Elite (#7) on the road and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Pau-Lacq-Orthez will play against the league's second-placed Monaco where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
