Regular Season Round 9: BK Olomoucko - BK Pardubice 80-94

Another upset was a game between BK Olomoucko (4-5) and BK Pardubice (4-3), which took place in Prostejov. 6th ranked BK Olomoucko lost at home to ninth ranked BK Pardubice 80-94. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of BK Olomoucko. They outrebounded BK Olomoucko 51-32 including a 36-24 advantage in defensive rebounds. BK Pardubice players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. The best player for the winners was American guard Scott Martin (203-88, college: Notre Dame, agency: HMS) who had a double-double by scoring 22 points and 14 rebounds. His fellow American import forward Dominez Burnett (196-92, college: Davenport, agency: Higher Vision Sports) chipped in 21 points and 5 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was Serbian Filip Sepa (198-90) who recorded 24 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists and American forward Charles Mitchell (203-93, college: Georgia Tech, agency: Slash Sports) added 16 points and 12 rebounds respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. BK Pardubice moved-up to sixth place. Newly promoted BK Olomoucko dropped to the eighth position with five games lost. BK Pardubice's next round opponent will be MMCITE Brno (#11) at home which should be theoretically an easy game. BK Olomoucko will play against Basketbal Svitavy and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
