Regular Season Round 13: Silute - Zalgiris II 77-71

No shocking result in a game when third ranked Silute (9-4) defeated at home 7th ranked Zalgiris II (6-7) 77-71. However just six-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Silute forced 24 Zalgiris II turnovers. Swingman Evaldas Dziaugys (196-96) nailed 21 points and 5 rebounds for the winning side and Justas Nausedas (193-92) accounted for 15 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Four Silute players scored in double figures. International center Martynas Sajus (208-96) came up with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds and international power forward Gytis Masiulis (206-98) added 13 points and 11 rebounds respectively for Zalgiris II in the defeat. Zalgiris II's coach Tomas Masiulis rotated twelve players in this game, but that didn't help. The victory was the third consecutive win for Silute. They maintain third place with 9-4 record having just three points less than leader Vytis. Zalgiris II at the other side dropped to the sixth position with seven games lost. Silute's next round opponent will be again Zalgiris II (#8) in Kaunas which should be theoretically an easy game.
