Regular Season Round 11: Brest - COR-Borisfen 77-122

Undefeated leader COR-Borisfen delivered the eleventh consecutive victory. This time they crushed 8th ranked Brest (2-9) 122-77. The game without a history. COR-Borisfen led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 72 of its points in the paint compared to Brest's 48 and made 20-of-24 charity shots (83.3 percent) during the game. They outrebounded Brest 43-28 including a 35-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. COR-Borisfen players were unselfish on offense dishing 38 assists comparing to just 16 passes made by Brest's players. Forward Evgeniy Kopylov (199-91) orchestrated the victory by scoring 18 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field). Russian forward Denis Pastukhov (197-91, agency: Interperformances) contributed with 15 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Four COR-Borisfen players scored in double figures. Swingman Pavel Moroz (193-88) answered with 8 points, 13 rebounds and 6 assists and forward Konstantin Solyshko (196-96) added 22 points in the effort for Brest. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The victory was the eleventh consecutive win for COR-Borisfen. They maintain first place with 11-0 record, which they share with Grodno-93 and Tsmoki-Minsk. Brest lost their third game in a row. They dropped to the ninth position with nine games lost. COR-Borisfen will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Brest will play again at home against the league's leader COR-Borisfen (#1) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
