Regular Season Round 14: KTU - Neptunas-Akv. 68-80

No shocking result in a game when fourth ranked Neptunas-Akv. (9-5) beat bottom-ranked KTU (2-12) in Kaunas 80-68 on Saturday. Neptunas-Akv. shot the lights out from three sinking 14 long-distance shots on high 56.0 percentage. Point guard Mindaugas Stasys (179-86) notched 21 points and 5 assists to lead the effort and center Deividas Keburys (202-90) supported him with 15 points and 8 rebounds. Four Neptunas-Akv. players scored in double figures. Even 26 points and 6 rebounds by forward Ignas Dauksys (198-93) did not help to save the game for KTU. Point guard Medas Kuprijanovas (195-96) added 13 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists for the hosts. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Neptunas-Akv. moved-up to third place, which they share with Silute. KTU lost fourth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with 12 games lost. Neptunas-Akv. will meet Jonava (#8) on the road in the next round where they are favorite. KTU will play against Silute (#3) and hope to secure a win.
