Regular Season Round 9: BLK Praha - U19 Chance 110-40

Bottom-ranked U19 Chance (0-9) is still winless. This time they lost on the road their ninth consecutive match to sixth ranked BLK Praha (6-3) 110-40. BLK Praha dominated down low during the game scoring 88 of its points in the paint compared to U19 Chance's 20. BLK Praha forced 26 U19 Chance turnovers and outrebounded them 43-20 including a 28-15 advantage in defensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 31 assists comparing to just 8 passes made by U19 Chance's players. Slovakian center Maria Felixova (191-90) nailed a double-double by scoring 16 points, 14 rebounds and 4 assists for the winning side and American forward Kristi Bellock (185-90, college: Texas A&M) accounted for 27 points. Four BLK Praha players scored in double figures. BLK Praha's coach Martin Stavel felt very confident using 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Forward Eliska Petruskova (172-98) came up with 10 points and 5 rebounds and guard Kristyna Tomsovicova (169-89) added 7 points respectively for U19 Chance in the defeat. BLK Praha moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Zabiny Brno and Sokol HK. U19 Chance lost their ninth game in a row. They still close the standings with nine games lost. BLK Praha will play against SBS Ostrava (#11) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. U19 Chance will play against Basket Slovanka MB and hopes to get finally their first victory.
