Date: November 18, 2017
Premier League top team - COR-Borisfen (12-0) had no problems winning another game on Saturday. This time they crushed ninth ranked Brest (2-10) 122-84. The game without a history. COR-Borisfen led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 24-of-31 free shots (77.4 percent) during the game, while Brest only scored four points from the stripe. COR-Borisfen forced 20 Brest turnovers and outrebounded them 47-33 including a 35-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 39 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by Brest's players. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when COR-Borisfen made 8 blocks. The winners were led by American forward Justin Coleman (203-94, college: Charleston) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 24 points, 13 rebounds, 7 assists and 5 blocks and the other American import point guard Alex Strauther (177, college: CS Dominguez H.) supported him with 21 points, 6 rebounds and 12 assists. Even 17 points and 9 rebounds by swingman Pavel Moroz (193-88) did not help to save the game for Brest. Forward Konstantin Solyshko (196-96) added 16 points and 9 rebounds. Five COR-Borisfen and four Brest players scored in double figures. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. COR-Borisfen have an impressive 12-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 12-0 record, which they share with Grodno-93 and Tsmoki-Minsk. Brest lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the ninth place with ten games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
