Regular Season Round 17: Ehime OV - Yamagata 88-74

An interesting game for Orange Vikings (12-5) which hosted in Matsuyama 3rd placed Yamagata (7-10). Second ranked Orange Vikings managed to get a 14-point victory 88-74. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Yamagata. Orange Vikings made 18-of-18 charity shots (100 percent !!!) during the game. The best player for the winners was American forward Chehales Tapscott (195-90, college: Portland St.) who had a double-double by scoring 23 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists. Guard Toshino Tatsuhiko (185-88) chipped in 13 points. Four Orange Vikings players scored in double figures. American forward Billy McShepard (208-87, college: Valdosta St., agency: Blacktop Management) produced 24 points and 8 rebounds and the other American import center Will Creekmore (205-89, college: Missouri St.) added 19 points and 7 rebounds respectively for the guests. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Orange Vikings maintains second place with 12-5 record having just two point less than leader Fukuoka Rizing. Yamagata at the other side dropped to the fourth position with ten games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
