Regular Season Round 10: ALS Basket - Challans 92-71

There was a minor upset when 7th ranked Vendee Challans (5-5) was smashed by tenth ranked ALS Basket (5-5) in Andrezieux 92-71 on Saturday. ALS Basket dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Vendee Challans' 42. They outrebounded Vendee Challans 40-24 including a 30-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. Quite impressive performance for American forward Jonathan Mitchell (201-87, college: Rutgers, agency: Inception Sports) who helped to win the game recording 21 points and 6 rebounds. Forward Kamel Ammour (203-91, agency: Octagon Europe) contributed with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. American power forward Steffon Bradford (198-77, college: Nebraska) replied with 24 points (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) and point guard Paul Turpin (190-93) added 13 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Vendee Challans. Five ALS Basket and four Vendee Challans players scored in double figures. ALS Basket moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Challans. Vendee Challans lost third consecutive game. ALS Basket will face higher ranked Saint-Quentin (#4) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game.
