Regular Season Round 8: Trelleborg - Malbas 85-73

Trelleborg has finally registered their first victory this season after seven consecutive losses. They used home court advantage to defeat Malbas (3-7) 85-73 on Sunday. The best player for the winners was American Justin Berry (198-88, college: Newman) who had a double-double by scoring 16 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists. Australian guard John Fitzgerald (193-84, college: Lindsey Wilson) chipped in 22 points and 6 rebounds. Trelleborg's coach used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Antiguan-American point guard Jermelle Fraser (186-87, college: SUNY Maritime) produced 18 points and guard Kasper Hagberg (185-98) added 10 points and 7 assists respectively for the guests. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Trelleborg maintains tenth position with 1-7 record. It was Malbas' third loss in a row. They keep the seventh place with seven games lost. Trelleborg will meet league's leader Djurgarden in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Malbas will play against Wetterbygden (#3) in Huskvarna and hope to secure a win.
