Regular Season Round 8: BG Lulea - AIK II 101-79

Bottom-ranked AIK II (0-7) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 101-79 loss to fifth ranked BG Lulea (4-2) in Lulea on Sunday evening. They also forced 29 AIK II turnovers. Strangely AIK II outrebounded BG Lulea 41-28 including 29 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists comparing to just 8 passes made by AIK II's players. The best player for the winners was forward Wiggo Wiberg (201-0) who scored 20 points and 5 rebounds. Guard Gustav Moberg (186-0) chipped in 19 points (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). BG Lulea's coach Fredrik Joulamo felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Benjamin Hellstrom (-0) produced 21 points and 7 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) and point guard Max Spreitz (180-99) added 14 points and 6 rebounds respectively for the guests. Five BG Lulea and four AIK II players scored in double figures. BG Lulea maintains fifth position with 4-2 record, which they share with Bankeryd. Newly promoted AIK II still closes the standings with seven games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
