Regular Season Round 16: Telsiai - KTU 61-50

There was no surprise in Telsiu where 14th ranked KTU (2-14) was defeated by sixth ranked Telsiai (9-7) 61-50 on Saturday. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Vilius Pocius (197-95) who helped to win the game recording 14 points and 8 rebounds and point guard Kajus Okmanas (185-95) who added 11 points during the contest. Four Telsiai players scored in double figures. At the losing side Matas Staniukaitis (192-93) responded with 6 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists and guard Karolis Kokoska (194-92) scored 9 points and 6 rebounds. KTU's coach Vytautas Pliauga rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Telsiai have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to fifth place. KTU lost sixth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with 14 games lost. Telsiai will meet Delikatesas (#13) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. KTU will play against Perlas and hope to secure a win.
