Regular Season Round 10: Olginate - Lecco 66-87

Rather expected game when 6th ranked Olginate (5-5) was crushed at home by third ranked Lecco (8-2) 87-66 on Saturday. Lecco looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Power forward Jacopo Balanzoni (204-93, agency: Interperformances) had a double-double by scoring 14 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the charge for the winners and point guard Alessandro Maccaferri (177-95) chipped in 13 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists during the contest. Five Lecco players scored in double figures. At the losing side power forward Andrea Bassani (198-89) responded with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 12 rebounds and power forward Marco Tagliabue (206-86) scored 13 points. Olginate's coach Alessandro Galli gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Lecco have an impressive seven-game winning streak. They maintain third position in B with 8-2 record having just two points less than leader San Severo. Newly promoted Olginate keeps the sixth place with five games lost. Lecco will face Padova (#13) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Olginate will play against Crema (#4) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
