Regular Season Round 7: Ermis Agias - Papagou 75-68

Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both seventh ranked Ermis Agias and 9th ranked Papagou had identical 3-3 record. This time Ermis Agias used a home court advantage and defeated the opponent from Athens 75-68. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Papagou won third quarter 21-14. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Papagou was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a great evening for the former international forward Nestoras Kommatos (203-77) who led his team to a victory scoring 26 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Point guard Giannis Demertzis (194-83) helped adding 10 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. Four Ermis Agias players scored in double figures. At the losing side power forward Panagiotis Filippakos (203-94) responded with 18 points and 8 rebounds and point guard Konstantinos Fakopoulidis (190-95) scored 15 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Papagou's coach Costas Sorotos rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Ermis Agias (4-3) moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Kastoria and Doxa Lefkadas. Papagou at the other side, also newcomer in the league, dropped to the tenth position with four games lost. They share it with Marousi and Psychiko. Ermis Agias will play against higher ranked Apollon Patras (#4) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Papagou will play against Karditsas (#16) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
