Regular Season Round 10: Firenze All Foods - Varese Robur 81-66

Very expected game when 13th ranked Varese Robur (3-7) was defeated on the road by third ranked Firenze All Foods (8-2) 81-66 on Sunday. Firenze All Foods dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Varese Robur's 34. Point guard Alessandro Grande (183-94) scored 19 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the charge for the winners and guard Simone Berti (196-85) chipped in 8 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists during the contest. At the losing side point guard Giacomo Bloise (179-90) responded with 21 points and power forward Davide Rosignoli (203-88) produced a double-double by scoring 10 points and 11 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Firenze All Foods maintains third position in B with 8-2 record having just two points less than leader San Severo, which they share with Lecco. Loser Varese Robur dropped to the fourteenth place with seven games lost. Firenze All Foods will face Oleggio (#5) at home in the next round. Varese Robur will play against Moncalieri (#15) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
