Regular Season Round 11: UCC Demons - KUBS 108-66

Bottom-ranked KUBS is still unable to win any game. This time they lost on the road their 11th consecutive match to seventh ranked UCC Demons (6-4) 108-66 on Sunday evening. UCC Demons dominated down low during the game scoring 80 of its points in the paint compared to KUBS's 28. They outrebounded KUBS 43-8 including a 36-4 advantage in defensive rebounds. UCC Demons looked well-organized offensively handing out 34 assists comparing to just 6 passes made by KUBS's players. It was an exceptional evening for international point guard Kyle Hosford (175-89) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 31 points, 5 rebounds and 10 assists (on 14-of-15 shooting from the field). The former international forward Colin OReilly (200-84, college: Post) accounted for 17 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists for the winning side. Five UCC Demons players scored in double figures. UCC Demons' coach Colin O'Reilly felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American swingman Brian Andrews (196-95, college: Clarion) came up with 41 points (!!!) and 5 rebounds and Stephen Ingle added 10 points and 4 assists respectively for KUBS in the defeat. UCC Demons moved-up to sixth place. Loser KUBS still closes the standings with 11 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
