Everything went according to plan when tenth ranked Sestu (5-5) beat on the road 16th ranked Patti (1-9) 91-80 on Sunday. Sestu shot 61.1 percent from the field. The former international Manuel Vanuzzo (203-75) had a double-double by scoring 12 points and 11 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Giuliano Samoggia (200-83) chipped in 18 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side center Andrea Locci (203-93) responded with 14 points and 7 rebounds and swingman Luca Fowler (192-96) scored 19 points. Five Sestu and four Patti players scored in double figures. Patti's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Sestu moved-up to sixth place in B, which they share with 3 other teams. Loser Patti keeps the sixteenth position with nine games lost. Sestu will face league's leader Basket Barcellona at home in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
