Very important is a road loss of second ranked Al-Nweidrat (9-3) against fourth ranked Al-Manama (9-1) on Tuesday night. Visiting Al-Nweidrat was defeated by Al-Manama in a tough game in Manama 65-70. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Al-Nweidrat. Al-Manama forced 23 Al-Nweidrat turnovers. It was a good game for American Wayne Chism (206-87, college: Tennessee) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 14 rebounds. The former international forward Ahmed Aziz (203-90) contributed with 12 points for the winners. Four Al-Manama players scored in double figures. Bosnian-Serbian center Mile Ilic (215-84) replied with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 19 rebounds and Hassan Madan added 24 points and 4 steals in the effort for Al-Nweidrat. Defending champion moved-up to second place. Al-Nweidrat at the other side dropped to the third position with three games lost. Al-Manama will play against league's leader Al-Ahli in Manama in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Al-Nweidrat will have a break next round.
