Regular Season Round 7: Macc.Rehovot - Maccabi K/M 77-79

The most surprising game was the first loss of undefeated Maccabi Rehovot (6-1) at the home court on Tuesday night. Hosts were edged by fourteenth ranked Maccabi K/M (2-5) 79-77. It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of Maccabi Rehovot. It was a great evening for point guard Lior Segev (180-83) who led his team to a victory scoring 16 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists. American power forward Kenny Hall (206-90, college: Tennessee) helped adding 15 points and 10 rebounds. At the losing side American swingman Marcus Relphorde (198-88, college: Colorado) responded with 20 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists and the other American import forward Al'Lonzo Coleman (201-89, college: Presbyterian) produced a double-double by scoring 16 points and 14 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Maccabi K/M moved-up to tenth place, which they share with Hapoel Migd.H. and Elitzur Yavne. Maccabi Rehovot at the other side still keeps top position with one game lost. They share it with Maccabi K/G. Maccabi K/M is looking forward to face higher ranked Hapoel B/S (#8) in Beer Sheva in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Maccabi Rehovot will play on the road against Elitzur Yavne (#10) and is hoping to win this game.
