Regular Season Round 11: Oviedo - Castello 68-62

Everything went according to plan when sixth ranked Oviedo CB (7-4) won against at home 8th ranked Castello (5-6) 68-62 on Tuesday. The hosts trailed by 1 point after three quarters before their 17-10 charge, which allowed them to win the game. It was a great evening for swingman Victor Perez (195-82) who led his team to a victory scoring 13 points. Center Oliver Arteaga (208-83) helped adding 14 points and 5 rebounds. Oviedo CB's coach Carles Marco used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Trinidad and Tobago center Kyle Rowley (213-90, college: St.Mary's, CA) responded with 14 points and 9 rebounds (perfect from the field making all seven shots !!!) and naturalized Lithuanian forward Tautvydas Sabonis (203-92) scored 16 points. Four Castello players scored in double figures. Oviedo CB moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Valladolid. Loser Castello dropped to the seventh position with six games lost. They share it with Caceres and Araberri. Oviedo CB will meet Palencia Baloncesto (#10) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Castello will play against Ourense and hope to secure a win.
