A very interesting game took place in Karsiyaka. It ended with only one-point defeat on the road of higher ranked Trabzonspor (3-5) to fourteenth ranked Pinar Karsiyaka (2-6) 79-78 on Thursday evening. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Trabzonspor. Pinar Karsiyaka dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Trabzonspor's 36. The winners were led by American-Hungarian power forward Jarrod Jones (207-90, college: Ball St.) who scored that evening 23 points and 9 rebounds and American swingman DJ Kennedy (198-89, college: St.John's) supported him with 8 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Even 24 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line) by American Caleb Green (203-85, college: ORU) did not help to save the game for Trabzonspor. His fellow American import swingman Osiris Eldridge (191-88, college: Illinois St.) added 24 points and 7 rebounds for the guests. Pinar Karsiyaka maintains fourteenth position with 2-6 record. Trabzonspor at the other side keeps the tenth place with five games lost. Pinar Karsiyaka's next round opponent will be higher ranked Yesilgiresun Bld (#13) in Giresun and it may be quite challenging game.
