Regular Season Round 10: BK Opava - BK Kolin 91-70

Very predictable result when second ranked BK Opava (7-3) smashed at home 10th ranked BK Kolin (3-6) 91-70 on Thursday. BK Opava made 19-of-20 free shots (95.0 percent) during the game. BK Opava outrebounded BK Kolin 39-28 including 27 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. The former international guard Radim Klecka (189-90) fired 17 points and 4 assists (made all of his nine free throws !!!) for the winners. Center Vaclav Bujnoch (200-93, college: Des Moines Area CC) chipped in a double-double by scoring 11 points and 11 rebounds. Four BK Opava players scored in double figures. BK Opava's coach Petr Czudek felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American forward Lee Skinner (198-92, college: Wofford) produced 18 points and 5 rebounds and international swingman Petr Safarcik (193-94) added 16 points and 4 assists respectively for lost side. BK Opava maintains second position with 7-3 record behind leader CEZ Nymburk. BK Kolin lost third consecutive game. They keep the tenth place with six games lost. BK Opava will meet BK Usti nad Labem (#8) on the road in the next round where they are favorite. BK Kolin will play against BK Pardubice and hope to secure a win.
