Regular Season Round 10: USK Praha - NH Ostrava 74-95

The most important game in the last round took place in Praha between third ranked USK Praha (5-4) and seventh ranked NH Ostrava (5-4) on Thursday night. USK Praha was crushed by NH Ostrava at home 95-74. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of USK Praha. NH Ostrava made 19-of-24 free shots (79.2 percent) during the game. American power forward Russell Woods (203-94, college: Missouri, agency: Mansfield and Associates) had a double-double by scoring 24 points and 15 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and the other American import point guard Evan Payne (185-93, college: Long Beach St., agency: Mansfield and Associates) chipped in 20 points and 6 assists during the contest. At the losing side international point guard Ondrej Sehnal (183-97) responded with 20 points and 5 assists and Finnish power forward Alexander Madsen (208-95) scored 10 points and 9 rebounds. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. USK Praha's coach Chris Chougaz gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. NH Ostrava moved-up to fifth place, which they share with defeated USK Praha. NH Ostrava is looking forward to face higher ranked BK Decin (#3) at home in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. USK Praha will play against Basketbal Svitavy and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
