Regular Season Round 17: KTU - Perlas 81-101

Very expected game when 14th ranked KTU (2-15) was smashed by tenth ranked Perlas (7-10) in Kaunas 101-81 on Friday. Perlas shot the lights out from three sinking 16 long-distance shots on high 55.2 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Guard Margiris Normantas (194-96) orchestrated the victory by scoring 28 points and 4 assists. Martynas Maskolaitis (200-97) contributed with 19 points (perfect behind the arc making all five shots) for the winners. Five Perlas players scored in double figures. Guard Karolis Kokoska (194-92) answered with 26 points and forward Ignas Dauksys (198-93) added 17 points and 4 assists in the effort for KTU. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The victory was the third consecutive win for Perlas. They maintain tenth place with 7-10 record. KTU lost their seventh game in a row. They stay at the bottom position with 15 games lost. Perlas will face Delikatesas (#13) in Joniskis in the next round. KTU will play on the road against the league's leader Vytis and will have a slim chance for a victory.
