Very predictable result when fifth ranked Polpharma (6-2) rolled over 14th ranked Czarni (3-8) in Slupsk 97-78 on Friday. The guests trailed by 1 point at the halftime before their 48-28 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Polpharma looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. American players dominated the game. It was a good game for forward Thomas Davis (198-91, college: SW Oklahoma St.) who led his team to a victory with 19 points and 5 rebounds. Guard Ameen Tanksley (196-92, college: Hofstra) contributed with 18 points for the winners. Four Polpharma players scored in double figures. Polpharma's coach Milija Bogicevic used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Guard Dominic Artis (192-93, college: UTEP) answered with 18 points and 4 assists and swingman Justin Watts (196-90, college: N.Carolina, agency: SPORTlab Agency) added 16 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Czarni. Polpharma maintains fifth place with 6-2 record. Czarni lost their sixth game in a row. They dropped to the fifteenth position with eight games lost. Polpharma will face bottom-ranked Legia (#17) in Warszawa in the next round which should be an easy win for them.
