Very important is a road loss of second ranked Breidablik (7-3) against fourth ranked Vestri (6-3) on Friday night. Visiting Breidablik was defeated by Vestri in 96-80. It was a great evening for Montenegrin forward Nemanja Knezevic (203-87) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 26 points, 25 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals (on 12-of-15 shooting from the field). Serbian swingman Nebojsa Knezevic (196-87) helped adding 21 points, 10 rebounds and 9 assists. Four Vestri players scored in double figures. American guard Jeremy Smith (190, college: Nicholls St.) responded with a double-double by scoring 25 points, 13 rebounds and 5 assists and guard Arni Hrafnsson (185-98) scored 7 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists. Breidablik's coach Larus Jonsson rotated ten players seeing no chance for a win. Vestri maintains fourth place with 6-3 record, which they share with Hamar. Breidablik at the other side keeps the second position with three games lost. They share it with Snaefell. Vestri will play against Gnupverjar (#7) in Reykjavik in the next round. Breidablik will play at home against FSU (#8) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
