Regular Season Round 11: Vysocina - Basket Kosice 79-89

An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Jihlava. Second ranked Basket Kosice faced 3rd placed Vysocina. Guests from Kosice (9-3) defeated host Vysocina (6-4) 89-79. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Vysocina. Basket Kosice players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. It was an exceptional evening for forward Jan Kratochvil (200-82) who led the winners and scored 16 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Slovakian forward Miroslav Vansa (197-87) accounted for 17 points and 5 rebounds for the winning side. Forward Jiri Bubak (194-84) came up with 18 points and 6 rebounds and Jiri Soula (189-95) added 14 points and 4 assists respectively for Vysocina in the defeat. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Basket Kosice used an opportunity after Slavoj Litom. lost their game and moved up joining them at the top position in West. Vysocina at the other side dropped to the fourth place with four games lost. Basket Kosice's next round opponent will be USK Praha B (#6) at home which should be theoretically an easy game. Vysocina will play against BK Loko Plzen and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
