Regular Season Round 10: Samorin - MBK Ruzomb. 47-70

The game in Samorin supposed to be quite interesting. Second ranked MBK Ruzomberok (8-2) played at the court of 7th ranked Samorin (2-8). MBK Ruzomberok smashed Samorin 70-47 on Saturday. MBK Ruzomberok dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Samorin's 28. They outrebounded Samorin 36-20 including a 19-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of Ukrainian forward Olga Yatskovets (188-97, agency: Lebedintsev Andriy) who helped to win the game recording 14 points and 5 rebounds. Canadian forward Taijah Campbell (190-94, college: Virginia Tech) contributed with 10 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Four MBK Ruzomberok players scored in double figures. MBK Ruzomberok's coach Juraj Suja felt very confident using 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Lenka Slezarikova (175-93) replied with 11 points and 5 rebounds and Serbian point guard Mirjana Beronja (170-86, agency: ProDep Management) added 12 points in the effort for Samorin. MBK Ruzomberok have an impressive six-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 8-2 record having just two points less than leader Good Angels. Samorin lost eighth consecutive game. They keep the seventh place with eight games lost. MBK Ruzomberok are looking forward to face league's leader Good Angels in Kosice in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Samorin will play on the road against Piestanske C. (#3) in Piestany and is hoping to prove to their fans that they can break losing series.
