Regular Season Round 9: Njardvik - Keflavik 81-85

An interesting game was also tough home defeat of 6th ranked Njardvik in a game versus Keflavik (#5) 85-81. Keflavik looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. American forward Stanley Robinson (206-88, college: Connecticut) nailed a double-double by scoring 13 points, 16 rebounds and 6 assists for the winning side and naturalized American guard Reggie Dupree (180-87, college: Faulkner) accounted for 23 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. American forward Terrell Vinson (201-90, college: Massachusetts, agency: HMS) came up with a double-double by scoring 24 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists and international Maciej Baginski (195-95) added 16 points and 7 rebounds respectively for Njardvik in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Keflavik (6-3) moved-up to third place, which they share with Haukar and KR. Loser Njardvik keeps the sixth position with four games lost. Keflavik will meet at home Stjarnan (#8) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Njardvik will play against the league's second-placed Tindastoll in Sauoarkrokur and hope to secure a win.
