Rather predictable result when third ranked Tralee (8-4) defeated at home 6th ranked UCC Demons (6-5) 89-76. Tralee shot the lights out from three nailing 15 long-distance shots on high 51.7 percentage. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Trae Pemberton (193-92, college: Maryville, MO) who helped to win the game recording 25 points, 5 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals. Eoin Quigley contributed with 22 points and 4 assists for the winners. Pemberton is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Five Tralee players scored in double figures. American forward Lehmon Colbert (198-88, college: Jacksonville) answered with a double-double by scoring 26 points and 12 rebounds and the former international guard Adrian OSullivan (180-93) added 29 points (made all of his seven free throws) in the effort for UCC Demons. Defending champion moved-up to second place, which they share with 3 other teams. UCC Demons at the other side keep the sixth position with five games lost. Tralee's next round opponent will be Maree (#11) in Galway and are hoping to win another game. UCC Demons will play on the road against the league's second-placed Swords Thunder (#2) in Dublin and hope to win that game.
