There was an upset when 3rd placed Salerno (8-3) was defeated at home by eleventh ranked Catanzaro (5-6) 65-56 on Sunday. The best player for the winners was Argentinian guard Nicolas Morici (192-94, agency: Octagon Europe) who had a double-double by scoring 19 points and 11 rebounds. Power forward Tommaso Pichi (202-96) chipped in 14 points. Four Catanzaro players scored in double figures. Guard Marco Cucco (189-94, agency: Players Group) produced 13 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists and forward Gianmarco Leggio (202-94) added 13 points and 7 rebounds respectively for the hosts.
