Regular Season Round 6: TLU/Kalev - BK Ogre 76-99

The game between closely ranked teams ended with 11th ranked Estonian TLU/Kalev's (2-4) home loss to tenth ranked Latvian BK Ogre (3-2) 76-99 on Tuesday. BK Ogre forced 23 TLU/Kalev turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. The best player for the winners was center Guntis Sipolins (206-93, agency: SPORTlab Agency) who scored 28 points and 7 rebounds. Point guard Rinalds Sirsnins (186-85) chipped in 19 points and 5 assists. Five BK Ogre players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was Senegalese center Bamba Fall (217-86, college: SMU) who recorded a double-double by scoring 18 points and 11 rebounds (perfect from the field making all seven shots !!!) and Kiur Akenparg (190-88) added 16 points and 5 assists respectively. TLU/Kalev's coach gave up on the game allowing to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win. BK Ogre have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain tenth position with 3-2 record. TLU/Kalev lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the twelfth place with four games lost. BK Ogre will face TTU (#11) in Tallinn in the next round.
