Very important is a home loss of second ranked Tindastoll (7-3) against sixth ranked Njardvik (6-4) on Thursday night. Host Tindastoll was defeated by Njardvik in a tough game in Sauoarkrokur 93-100. Njardvik shot the lights out from three nailing 14 long-distance shots on high 51.9 percentage. Tindastoll was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. American forward Terrell Vinson (201-90, college: Massachusetts, agency: HMS) notched 22 points and 9 rebounds to lead the effort and the former international Logi Gunnarsson (190-81) supported him with 29 points (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field). Even 22 points and 4 assists (made all of his ten free throws !!!) by international point guard Sigtryggur-Arnar Bjornsson (180-93) did not help to save the game for Tindastoll. American forward Brandon Garrett (206-90, college: Murray St.) added 28 points for lost side. Five Njardvik and four Tindastoll players scored in double figures. Njardvik moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Keflavik. Tindastoll at the other side still keeps top position with three games lost. They share it with 3 other teams. Njardvik will play against bottom-ranked Hottur (#12) in Egilsstadir in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Tindastoll will play on the road against Stjarnan (#7) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
