Regular Season Round 12: Vicenza - Lugo 101-86

Not a big story in a game when 12th ranked Lugo (4-8) lost on the road to fifth ranked Vicenza (7-5) 101-86 on Thursday. Vicenza outrebounded Lugo 41-30 including 30 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. It was a good game for naturalized Argentinian center Diego Corral (203-86, agency: Interperformances) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 11 rebounds. Point guard Daniele Demartini (184-84, agency: Players Group) contributed with 21 points, 5 assists and 7 steals for the winners. Guard Michele Rubbini (185-99) replied with 18 points and 5 rebounds and power forward Giacomo Filippini (204-91) added 18 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Lugo. Five Vicenza and four Lugo players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Vicenza maintains fifth position in B with 7-5 record, which they share with Faenza and Forli Tigers. Lugo lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the twelfth place with eight games lost. Vicenza will face Volpino (#16) on the road in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Lugo will play against Tessilform Bernareggio (#11) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
