Regular Season Round 12: Roma Tiber - Sestu 82-72

There was a minor upset when 9th ranked Sestu (5-7) lost on the road to twelfth ranked Roma Tiber (5-5) 82-72 on Thursday. Roma Tiber made 16-of-21 free shots (76.2 percent) during the game. They also forced 21 Sestu turnovers. It was a good game for point guard Filippo Bertoldo (180-89) who led his team to a victory with 24 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Matteo Santucci (193-98, agency: SPORTlab Agency) contributed with 20 points for the winners. The former international Manuel Vanuzzo (203-75) replied with a double-double by scoring 12 points, 14 rebounds and 4 assists and point guard Mauro Graviano (184-89) added 17 points (perfect from the field making all seven shots !!!) in the effort for Sestu. Four Sestu players scored in double figures. Sestu's coach Giuseppe Caboni rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Roma Tiber moved-up to eighth place in B. Sestu at the other side, also newcomer in the league, dropped to the tenth position with seven games lost. Roma Tiber's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Roma to the arena Palestrina.
