Regular Season Round 10: Hottur - KR 81-90

Date: December 7, 2017
Bottom-ranked Hottur (0-10) is still winless. But it was rather predictable considering how strong their opponent was. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their tenth consecutive match to fourth ranked KR (7-3) 90-81. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. KR brought some defensive toughness making 7 blocks. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international guard Pavel Ermolinskij (202-87) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 17 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists. Swingman Darri Hilmarsson (190-87) contributed with 19 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Four KR players scored in double figures. American guard Kelvin Lewis (195-88, college: Houston) replied with a double-double by scoring 34 points (!!!), 10 rebounds and 7 assists and the former international forward Mirko Virijevic (201-81, college: Freed-Hardeman, agency: Athleadz) added 13 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists in the effort for Hottur. KR have a solid three-game winning streak. Defending champion keeps a position of league leader, which they share with 3 other teams. Newly promoted Hottur still closes the standings with ten games lost. KR's next round opponent will be Thor Thorl (#9) in Thorlakshofn and are hoping to win another game. Hottur will play on the road against Njardvik and hopes to get finally their first victory.
