The game in Tampere supposed to be quite interesting. 4th ranked Helsinki Seagulls (8-6) played at the court of fifth ranked Tampereen Pyrinto (9-6). Tampereen Pyrinto smashed Helsinki Seagulls 89-65 on Friday. The game was mostly controlled by Tampereen Pyrinto. Helsinki Seagulls managed to win third quarter 20-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Tampereen Pyrinto made 18-of-23 free shots (78.3 percent) during the game. Tampereen Pyrinto had a 38-23 advantage in offensive rebounds. The game was dominated by American players. Brian Asbury (201-86, college: Miami, FL) fired a double-double by scoring 19 points and 19 rebounds for the winners. Guard JuanYa Green (188-92, college: Hofstra, agency: 3Eye) chipped in 16 points and 5 assists. Forward Kayel Locke (196-94, college: NC-Greensboro) produced a double-double by scoring 21 points and 10 rebounds and guard Jermaine Marshall (193-90, college: Arizona St., agency: SDJ Sports) added 13 points respectively for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Tampereen Pyrinto moved-up to fourth place. Helsinki Seagulls at the other side dropped to the sixth position with six games lost. Tampereen Pyrinto are looking forward to face league's leader Salon Vilpas on the road in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Helsinki Seagulls will play against UU-Korihait (#11) in Uusikaupunki and is hoping to win this game.
