Regular Season Round 12: Sokol Prazky - Sokol Zizkov 77-56

The game between closely ranked teams ended with 10th ranked Sokol Zizkov's (1-10) road loss to ninth ranked Sokol Prazky (3-8) in Praha 56-77 on Friday. Sokol Prazky outrebounded Sokol Zizkov 53-32 including a 22-9 advantage in offensive rebounds. Sokol Zizkov was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for center Jiri Bruha (210-86) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 11 rebounds (perfect from the field making all seven shots !!!). Forward Stepan Brix (201-94) contributed with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 14 rebounds for the winners. Jan Bohm (199-95) replied with 15 points and 5 rebounds and forward Martin Peterka (197-87) added 12 points in the effort for Sokol Zizkov. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Sokol Prazky maintains ninth position in West with 3-8 record. Sokol Zizkov lost seventh consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the tenth place with ten games lost. Sokol Prazky will face higher ranked Vysocina (#4) in Jihlava in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Sokol Zizkov's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Praha GBA Sparta.
