Regular Season Round 12: Svitavy - BK Decin 83-69

The most important game in the last round took place in Svitavy between third ranked BK Decin (7-5) and fifth ranked Basketbal Svitavy (7-5) on Saturday night. BK Decin was defeated by Basketbal Svitavy on the road 69-83. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of BK Decin. Basketbal Svitavy looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. 25 personal fouls committed by BK Decin helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a good game for American forward Garret Kerr (194-92, college: Univ.Sciences) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 15 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists. Naturalized Slovakian point guard Roman Marko (193-86) contributed with 16 points for the winners. Four Basketbal Svitavy players scored in double figures. The former international power forward Pavel Houska (203-84, agency: Octagon Europe) replied with 18 points and 5 rebounds and point guard Ondrej Siska (190-93) added 13 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists in the effort for BK Decin. BK Decin's coach Pavel Budinsky rotated eleven players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Basketbal Svitavy have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to fourth place, which they share with defeated BK Decin. Basketbal Svitavy is looking forward to face league's leader CEZ Nymburk on the road in the next round and it may be the game of the week. BK Decin will play against USK Praha and is hoping to win this game.
