An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Bankeryd. Second ranked Hammarby faced 4th placed Bankeryd. Guests from Stockholm (7-2) defeated host Bankeryd (5-3) 97-86. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Bankeryd. Hammarby made 22-of-27 free shots (81.5 percent) during the game. Strangely Bankeryd outrebounded Hammarby 48-35 including a 20-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. They shot the lights out from three sinking 17 long-distance shots on high 56.7 percentage. It was a great evening for guard Ramendra Haag (187-90) who led his team to a victory scoring 24 points. Forward Uros Cigoja (198-98) helped adding 12 points and 14 rebounds. Hammarby's coach Ake Barlin used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Jamaican center Hugh Robinson (202-83) responded with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 12 rebounds and guard Kristoffer Gronhage (188-92) scored 17 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for Hammarby. Newly promoted Hammarby maintains second place with 7-2 record having just two points less than leader KFUM Fryshuset. Bankeryd at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the fourth position with three games lost. Hammarby will meet RIG Mark (#3) in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Bankeryd will play against Haga BG and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
