Regular Season Round 11: Swiss Central - Massagno 66-82
Date: December 10, 2017
Rather predictable result in Luzern where fifth ranked Massagno (7-4) defeated 9th ranked Swiss Central (4-8) 82-66. They outrebounded Swiss Central 41-20 including a 17-3 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was an exceptional evening for naturalized Senegalese power forward Jules Aw (202-86) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 12 rebounds. Kenyan forward Tylor Ongwae (199-91, college: La-Monroe) accounted for 11 points and 10 rebounds for the winning side. Massagno's coach Robbi Gubitosa allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. American point guard Austin Chatman (183-93, college: Creighton, agency: SDJ Sports) came up with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 assists and swingman Michael Pluess (190-90) added 14 points respectively for Swiss Central in the defeat. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Massagno have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Neuchatel. Swiss Central lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the ninth position with eight games lost. Massagno will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Swiss Central will play again at home against Massagno (#5) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
