Regular Season Round 3: Singapore S. - Hong Kong ELL 77-81

An exciting game was played in Singapore. Hong Kong Hong Kong ELL faced Singapore Singapore Slingers. Guests from Hong Kong (4-0) defeated host Singapore Slingers (2-3) 81-77. Hong Kong ELL made 20-of-25 charity shots (80.0 percent) during the game. They brought some defensive toughness making 7 blocks. Singapore Slingers were plagued by 30 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for American guard Tyler Lamb (196-91, college: Long Beach St.) who led his team to a victory with 30 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. His fellow American import guard Marcus Elliott (191-84, college: Louisiana Tech) contributed with 20 points, 8 rebounds, 9 assists and 6 steals for the winners. American guard Xavier Alexander (198-88, college: S.Nazarene) answered with 25 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists and Canadian power forward Ryan Wright (206-87, college: Oklahoma) added 17 points and 16 rebounds in the effort for Singapore Slingers. Four Hong Kong ELL and five Singapore Slingers players scored in double figures. Singapore Slingers' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Hong Kong ELL will play against Formosa D. (#5) in Changhua City in the next round. Singapore Slingers will play again on the road against Hong Kong ELL and hope to get back on the winning track.
