Regular Season Round 7: P.Zvaigzdes - Tartu Ulikool 119-72

The game between leader Lithuanian P.Zvaigzdes (6-0) and 9th ranked Estonian Tartu Ulikool (4-2) in Pasvalys on Tuesday ended with biggest points difference. P.Zvaigzdes outscored guests from Tartu 119-72. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Tartu Ulikool. The game without a history. P.Zvaigzdes led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They shot 65.7 percent from the field. P.Zvaigzdes forced 21 Tartu Ulikool turnovers. They shot the lights out from three sinking 16 long-distance shots on high 53.3 percentage. P.Zvaigzdes looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. It was a quality performance for Ukrainian forward Vyacheslav Bobrov (203-92) who led the winners and scored 21 points (perfect from the field making all nine shots !!!). Latvian guard Arturs Ausejs (192-90) accounted for 19 points and 4 assists for the winning side. Forward Kristjan Kitsing (205-90, agency: Octagon Europe) came up with 16 points and 7 rebounds and Lithuanian Vytenis Cizauskas (187-92) added 15 points and 5 rebounds respectively for Tartu Ulikool in the defeat. Five P.Zvaigzdes and four Tartu Ulikool players scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. P.Zvaigzdes have an impressive series of six victories in a row. They maintain eighth place with 6-0 record. Tartu Ulikool at the other side dropped to the third position with two games lost. They share it with BK Ogre and Siauliai. P.Zvaigzdes will meet at home bottom-ranked Barsy Atyrau (#14) in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Tartu Ulikool will play against TTU (#11) and hope to secure a win.
