Regular Season Round 11: CSKA - Rilski 2 91-54

The game in Sofia supposed to be also quite interesting. 5th ranked Rilski 2 (2-7) played at the court of seventh ranked CSKA (3-7). CSKA smashed Rilski 2 91-54 on Wednesday. CSKA dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Rilski 2's 28. CSKA forced 29 Rilski 2 turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. It was an exceptional evening for swingman Ivaylo Tonev (198-99) who led the winners and scored 19 points, 5 assists and 5 steals (perfect from the field making all seven shots !!!). Power forward Robert Georgiev (187-98) accounted for 13 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists for the winning side. Five CSKA players scored in double figures. Point guard Petrov Daniel (170-99) came up with 17 points and 5 rebounds and center Boyan Boyanov (198-1) added 10 points and 6 rebounds respectively for Rilski 2 in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. CSKA moved-up to fifth place. Loser Rilski 2 dropped to the sixth position with seven games lost. CSKA's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Sofia to the arena Akademik Sofia.
