Regular Season Round 21: KTU - Palanga 86-72

Bottom-ranked KTU managed to get the second consecutive victory. This time they won against twelfth-ranked Palanga in Kaunas 86-72. KTU players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists. Forward Ignas Dauksys (198-93) nailed a double-double by scoring 18 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists for the winning side and Augustas Zilinskas (197-97) accounted for 13 points and 6 assists. Five KTU players scored in double figures. KTU's coach Vytautas Pliauga allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Tadas Pazera (190-98) came up with 18 points and point guard Mantvydas Staniulis (189-97) added 10 points and 7 assists respectively for Palanga in the defeat. KTU maintains fourteenth place with 4-17 record. Palanga lost eighth consecutive game. They dropped to the thirteenth position with 15 games lost. KTU's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Kaunas to the arena Zalgiris II.
