Regular Season Round 9: Caen - Blois 69-83

The most interesting game of round 9 in the ProB was a home defeat of 7th ranked Caen (5-4) to sixth ranked ADA Blois (6-3) 83-69. The guests trailed by 1 point after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 4-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 83-69. ADA Blois shot the lights out from three sinking 14 long-distance shots on high 56.0 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. American forward Tyren Johnson (202-88, college: La-Lafayette) stepped up and scored 15 points, 8 rebounds, 8 assists and 5 steals for the winners and his fellow American import point guard Jerrold Brooks (183-91, college: S.Mississippi, agency: Interperformances) chipped in 25 points and 5 assists (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field). Four ADA Blois players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was center Bastien Vautier (210-98) with 14 points and 8 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) and American power forward Jarvis Williams (198-93, college: Murray St., agency: Octagon Europe) scored 15 points and 6 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. ADA Blois moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Nancy and Saint-Chamond. Caen lost third consecutive game. They keep the seventh position with four games lost. They share it with 3 other teams. ADA Blois is looking forward to face bottom-ranked Charleville-Mezieres (#18) at home in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Caen will play against Poitiers (#14) and is hoping to prove to their supporters that they can break losing series.
